A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is used for streaming stereo music or audio file wirelessly to headphones or speakers over Bluetooth.

Unlike other Bluetooth profiles (Headset and Handsfree), A2DP is one-way only and streams a stereo signal.
